Sparkle Sprites have the wonderful job of coloring Ellenora Island. Each one is in charge of a certain color. They gather the fairy dust from the Queen and spend their day sprinkling the dust on the flowers and plants that need the correct color. Much to the Sparkle Sprites embarrassment (and the other fairies jealousy) when they throw the dust on the plant the wind catches some of the dust and blows it back onto the Sparkle Sprites hair. Thus resulting in purple, or pink hair (whatever color the fairy is in charge of). Of course the other fairies will NEVER admit they are jealous and make fun of the poor Sparkle Sprites. The Sprites are so happy though, they don’t mind the teasing much. Secretly among themselves they are quite proud of their colored hair.
