The beautiful fairy Queen beckoned to the group of fairy maidens who were staring wide-eyed at the Fayerie Court. Never had they seen anything so wonderful! The young maidens approached the Queen with their eyes shyly downcast. The Queen spoke in a voice that was lovely and frightening at the same time. “Because of your kind hearts and purity of spirit, you have been chosen to be the mothers to the fairies who have been forgotten and are now remembered. They are to be reborn though you, the Lifecherish.” She waved her wand over their heads and spoke in a singing voice that echoed around the royal room. “Those that are from before, those that are waiting, those from the old age, come back to us, to be reborn, to once again share the life of Mother Earth, now is your time, your resting is over.” Standing up the Fairy Queen beckoned to each of the girls to kneel before her. As they approached, one by one, she rested her wand on their heads and murmured over them. “Peace and love go with you. Cherish the life that grows inside you. Guard that life with your own, and raise the babe to be a blessing.”
