The Ellemaiden are the appointed ladies in waiting to the Fairy Queen. The Fairy Queen chooses her maidens from her most favorite of all the fairies ~ the Sparkle Sprites. She waits for the Sparkle Sprites to grow up, then gives them a new name as she welcomes them into her court. There is a large ceremony as the Sparkle Sprite’s magic dust is handed down to a younger fairy and the young woman is christened an “Ellemaiden” ~ handmaiden to Queen Ellandria.
